Lonnie Moore

Partner

Lonnie Moore’s reputation precedes him when he opens a restaurant. Sharp, gregarious and humble, Mr. Moore can entertain multiple tables at once with his hospitable charm, quick wit, and innate sense of consumer desires. Lonnie Moore has been featured in business publications such as Entrepreneur, lifestyle magazines such as In Style & Angeleno, and his restaurants have received culinary kudos in Bon Appetit and The New York Times. Lonnie Moore’s name and company have made an impressionable mark on the once standard and monotonous dining scene in America.

A native New Yorker, Mr. Moore’s career began in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, where he was a top TV executive at UPN. With his entertainment knowledge, creative skills, and firm business contacts, Lonnie Moore opened a small bar in West Hollywood called Belly, with best friend and business partner, Mike Malin. Belly reigned as the hottest bar in West Hollywood for some four years before closing in 2004.

With the success of Belly, Dolce Enoteca opened in 2003, after Mr. Moore, head of all operations, searched for the perfect space, chef, designer and team to create a modern Northern Italian restaurant in the heart of Los Angeles. The style and concept of Dolce has been endlessly praised by the media and has proven successful with consumers in Los Angeles and beyond.

In 2005, Mr. Moore opened a futuristic Japanese fusion restaurant in Hollywood, Geisha House. Later that year, Bella, affectionately known as “Dolce’s little sister” opened down the street. Geisha House still reigns as the hottest sushi restaurant in Los Angeles, while Bella serves acclaimed comfort Italian food in a warm environment with a neighborhood feel, only two blocks away. In 2006, Moore & Malin partnered with Sylvain Bitton to re-open famed Hollywood haunt, Les Deux. These three venues are key players in the multi-million dollar Hollywood resurgence project that has taken the once seedy Hollywood Blvd and glamorized the strip of stars back to a safe and exciting place. Other Dolce Group expansions, outside Los Angeles, include locations of Dolce Enoteca in Atlanta and Reno, and Ten Pin Alley, a bowling/lounge concept in Atlanta.

Ketchup, a high-end American diner, opened within the Sunset Millennium Complex on Sunset Blvd. in March, 2007. Geisha House Atlanta later followed, joining Dolce Enoteca and Ten Pin Alley within the Atlantic Station complex. “The Dolce Group wants to invest in areas of town and parts of the country that are undergoing a resurgence and revitalization. We feel that that best compliments our brand and our innovative venues,” says Moore.

The Dolce Group is Lonnie Moore and partner, Mike Malin’s company built on innovative restaurant concepts, today serving as one of the top restaurant groups in the country: dedicated to delivering a unique dining experience encompassing fine food and wine, fantastic service, and an entertaining experience to diners. The Dolce Group also counsels perspective restaurateurs with a consulting service based on their principles.

With plans to open satellite locations of their most famous outposts, Geisha House, Ketchup & Dolce Enoteca, The Dolce Group will immerse their style into the marketplaces of consumers all over the country, expanding further into Georgia & California, Texas, Alabama, Nevada and Washington, DC.
